Overview

As an Unwind Operator , you’ll be a key player in our high-speed production environment. You’ll set up, operate, and maintain folder equipment to ensure smooth operations and top-tier output. This role is ideal for mechanically inclined individuals who thrive in fast-paced, team-oriented settings.

What You’ll Do

• Set up high-speed fan-folders, including gear changes, timing, and spiral adjustments
• Troubleshoot and resolve machine issues to maintain peak performance
• Operate folder equipment efficiently to meet production goals
• Track and report production uptime each shift
• Support a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement

What You Bring

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience: Background in manufacturing, printing, or related fields
• Skills:
  • Hands-on experience with machine operation (printing, packaging, etc.)
  • Basic mechanical knowledge and hand tool proficiency
  • Familiarity with safety protocols (e.g., lockout/tagout)
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities
  • Ability to guide and support peers

Preferred: Experience with press or printing operations

At Brightstar, we consider a wide range of factors in determining compensation, including background, skills, experience, and work location. These factors can cause your compensation to vary. The estimated starting salary range is $21.00 per hour . The actual pay offered may end up being higher or lower. The Company will comply with all local pay requirements and collective bargaining agreements, where applicable. 

Base pay is only one part of our Total Rewards program. Sales roles may be eligible for commission payments, while other roles may be eligible for short-term incentive or other discretionary bonuses. More senior roles maybe eligible for long-term incentive bonuses. In addition, we offer employees a 401(k) Savings Plan with Company contributions, health, dental, and vision insurance, life, accident, and disability insurance, tuition reimbursement, paid time off, wellness programs, and identity theft insurance.
