Job Description

The Waldorf School of Philadelphia is searching for a Spanish Teacher to start January 2025 and lead our Spanish Language program for grades 1-8. 

If you are a flexible, enthusiastic teacher who wishes to participate wholeheartedly in the life of the school, we would like to hear from you. 

To join our team of teaching staff you will have a BA, and a proven track record of successful Spanish language teaching at the elementary and middle school levels. An advanced degree in Spanish pedagogy or a related field is preferred but not required. Waldorf certification is also preferred, but not required. Our school actively encourages and supports professional development through mentoring support and attending courses and conferences. 

Essential job duties include, but aren't limited to;

• the development and presentation of the curriculum,

• an understanding and awareness of the Child,

• fostering positive and productive teacher-student relationships, teacher-parent communication and relationships, and collegial relationships, and

• participate as required in regularly scheduled teacher-parent conferences, class meetings, faculty meetings, and other school events.
