Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Industrial Safety Manager to join our team in Louisville, KY, 40206. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring a safe and compliant work environment for all employees. Your expertise in safety regulations and best practices will be vital in promoting a culture of safety within our facility. This is a 1st shift opportuntiy with a premier fabrication shop in the Louisville area. It is with a very well established coorperation. Conducting 3rd Party Audits, experience with ISNetworld, or other 3rd party vendors is required.

Requirements:

Ability to train OSHA 10, 1926 10hr and 30hr course

Must have MSHA Blue Card: Train MSHA 48b, 20 hour course and 8 hour refresher course

Someone with a consruction safety background might be a great fit! Very light travel will be involved with the position and will be discussed throughout the interview process.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain safety policies and procedures in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
• Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify hazards and recommend corrective actions.
• Lead safety training programs for employees to promote awareness and adherence to safety protocols.
• Investigate accidents and incidents to determine root causes and implement preventive measures.
• Collaborate with management to develop safety initiatives and improve overall workplace safety culture.
• Prepare and maintain safety documentation, including reports, records, and compliance logs.
• Stay updated on industry trends and regulatory changes to ensure ongoing compliance.
• Act as the primary point of contact for safety-related inquiries and concerns.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in industrial safety management or a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety standards.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence employees at all levels.
• Proven ability to analyze data and develop actionable safety strategies.
• Certification in safety management (e.g., CSP, CIH) is a plus.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Salary info:

$40 - $42 / hr
