Job Summary:
Location: Seattle, Washington, United States,
Responsibilities:
- Providing skilled nursing care to infants in a Level III/IV NICU.
- Administering medications and treatments (CPAP/BiPap, High Frequency Vents, Oscillators, Vents, Blood/Blood Products).
- Performing procedures such as Cardioversion/Defibrillation, Cooling/Warming Blanket, Feeding Tube insertion, PICC/Central Line insertion, and Syringe Pump management.
- Attending high-risk deliveries and neonatal surgeries.
- Collaborating with the interdisciplinary team.
- Patient assessments and charting.
- Floating to other units (Issaquah or Edmonds SCN, or Pediatrics/NBN newborns only) as needed.
Required Skills & Certifications:
- Current Registered Nurse license.
- Minimum three years of experience in a hospital setting, preferably in a NICU.
- Proficiency in various neonatal procedures (as listed above).
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Active compact license honored by Swedish facilities.
Preferred Skills & Certifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing.
Special Considerations:
- Minimum three-month separation from any Providence affiliated facility for travel nurse positions.
- Willingness to float to different campuses within the health system.
- No ECMO experience required.
- No admission of babies, as a dedicated Admit Nurse handles this role. Infrequent floating to Pediatrics, only caring for infants if floating occurs.
- 77-bed NICU (average census 50).
- Block scheduling available.
