This role is for a Registered Nurse specializing in Level III or IV Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) care. The RN will provide skilled nursing care to infants, primarily those born at 23-24 weeks gestation. The position requires a minimum of three years of experience and willingness to float to other units within the health system, including potentially the Special Care Nursery (SCN) or Pediatrics (infants only).

Responsibilities:
- Providing direct patient care to infants in the NICU, including those requiring CPAP/BiPap, high-frequency ventilation, oscillators, and other respiratory support.
- Administering blood and blood products.
- Performing cardioversion/defibrillation and utilizing cooling/warming blankets.
- Managing feeding tubes and PICC/central lines.
- Utilizing syringe pumps.
- Assisting with high-risk deliveries and neonatal surgeries.
- Collaborating with the interdisciplinary team.
- Floating to other units (SCN, Pediatrics - infants only) as needed.
- Performing patient assessments, medication administration, and treatment planning.
- Charting and documenting patient care.
Required Skills & Certifications:
- Active Registered Nurse license.
- Minimum three years of experience in a Level III or IV NICU.
- Proficiency in managing various respiratory support modalities (CPAP/BiPap, high-frequency ventilation, oscillators).
- Experience with blood/blood product administration, cardioversion/defibrillation, and temperature management.
- Skill in managing feeding tubes and PICC/central lines.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and float to different units.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Skills & Certifications:
- Experience with ECMO.

- Must be willing to float to different campuses.
- Minimum three-month separation from any Providence affiliated facility required for travel positions.
- Swedish facilities honor active compact licenses.
- Floating to Pediatrics is rare and limited to infant care.
- 77-bed NICU with an average census of 50.
- Block scheduling is available.
