Location: Upbeat Music (3000 S Wentworth, Chicago, IL)
Position: Part-time (flexible teaching hours)
Reports To: Studio Director

Upbeat Music is a vibrant music lesson studio dedicated to inspiring students of all ages and ability levels. We offer private and group instruction in piano, guitar, violin, drums, voice, and more — fostering musical growth, confidence, and joy in our community.
Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Piano Teacher with a strong musical background and exceptional interpersonal skills to join our team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about teaching, comfortable instructing both private and group lessons , and capable of engaging students in a supportive and motivating environment.
Key Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality piano lessons tailored to individual student goals and levels (beginner through advanced).
Lead and manage engaging group piano classes with enthusiasm and clarity.
Create lesson plans that incorporate technique, theory, and musical expression.
Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback to students and parents.
Prepare students for recitals, performances, and exams as needed. (
Maintain excellent communication with families and studio leadership.
Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Music, Music Education, Piano Performance, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
Proven experience teaching piano in both private and group settings .
Strong knowledge of piano technique, music theory, and a variety of musical styles.
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills — able to connect with students of all ages and their families.
Friendly, patient, adaptable, and committed to fostering a positive learning environment.
Availability for evenings and weekends is a plus.
