Our Direct Client is staffing a Contract to Hire, JDE Operations Engineer for a contract to hire opportunity. This is a hybrid role located in or around Clinton, CT.

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented JD Edwards (JDE) Senior Systems Engineer/Specialist to support and optimize our clients enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems. This role will serve as a strategic partner between business teams and IT, leveraging JD Edwards to analyze needs, design solutions, and deliver functional improvements across key business areas.

Responsibilities:

• Manages strategic planning, technical architecture, and governance for enterprise applications (HR, Procurement, Finance, Compliance)
• Align dbase architecture with organizational goals and ensures system interoperability.
• Provide technical leadership and oversees performance optimization and compliance.
• Expert in enterprise architecture and application management.
• Advanced knowledge of cloud infrastructure (Active Directory, Azure).
• Proficient in DevOps practices (CI/CD, automation, coding).
• Skilled in database environments (SQL Server, Oracle) and middleware integrations.
• Familiarity with compliance frameworks (SOX) and security standards.

Key Criteria of Candidate:

• Bachelor's Degree and 10+ years of relevant experience.
• Holds relevant certifications (e.g., enterprise architecture, cloud, or DevOps).
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and mentor junior staff
• Strong communication, analytical, and project management skills
• Minimal supervision with considerable latitude for independent judgment
• Completes difficult assignments without assistance
• May mentor less-experienced team members and assist management
• Serves as a key resource and advises others
