We are seeking a Lead Platform Engineer to help design, operate, and enhance a secure, reliable, and highly available cloud and developer platform. This role focuses on building automated, scalable platform-as-a-service (PaaS) solutions that support development teams in a fast-paced, agile environment.
The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on expertise in cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes, CI/CD automation, and security. You will work closely with Security, Compliance, and Engineering teams to implement secure infrastructure features, automation, and best practices while providing technical leadership and mentorship.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, build, and operate secure and highly available cloud and platform infrastructure
Translate business and application requirements into automated platform solutions
Implement infrastructure automation using Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and developer workflow automation
Lead Kubernetes platform deployments using GitOps practices
Collaborate with Security and Compliance teams to enforce security standards
Provide technical leadership and mentor junior engineers
Troubleshoot platform application deployments and configurations
Work cross-functionally in an agile, fast-paced environment
Required Skills & Experience (Top Must-Haves):
7+ years of DevOps experience supporting containerized and Kubernetes production systems
4+ years of hands-on experience with AWS , CI/CD pipelines, and developer workflow automation
Tools such as GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, AWS CodeStar
Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, AWS CDK, or CloudFormation
3+ years of experience with:
Kubernetes deployment and GitOps tooling (Helm, Flux, Argo CD)
Cloud and network security architecture (IAM, least privilege, secrets management, RBAC, boundary protection)
Additional Experience:
AWS services: EC2, S3, SQS, SNS, RDS, DynamoDB, KMS, SSM, ELB, VPC, Route 53
AWS Organizations, Control Tower, or Landing Zone Accelerator
Experience leading and mentoring junior Software or DevOps Engineers
