Looking for a seasonal harvest hand for this year at Woods Beer and Wine Co. We are a natural winery (and brewery) located here on Treasure Island in San Francisco. The ideal candidate has some experience working harvest, is a self starter, takes direction well, and can handle working long days throughout harvest. They will be working directly (and basically solely) with the winemaker. Wines are made from organic vineyards, without fining or filtration, and with minimal SO2. Varieties include Pinot, Aligote, Barbera, Aglianico, Roussanne, Chenin Blanc, and Corvina among others. It is expected that harvest would last from the last week of August through Mid-October. This work is pretty flexible, we will have a couple long weeks but some shorter weeks as well where if someone wanted they would be able to pick up shifts at one of our bar locations.

Duties:
- Assist in receiving and processing fruit, sorting, pressing, etc.
- Sanitation of winery & equipment aka handy with power washer and a scrub brush
- Perform punch-downs & pump-overs
- Juice racking, and wine movements from tank to tank
- Barrel filling, topping, stirring, and racking
- Monitor fermentations
- Remove pomace from tanks & presses
- Drain and Press Tanks and bins

Qualifications:
- Ability to be on your feet for long periods of time
- Ability to bend, squat and lift 50 lbs.
- Ability to work flexible hours six days/week
- Have reliable transportation and report to work on-time
