Job Description

Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics (SIAM) seeks a creative and skilled Digital Marketing Specialist who thrives at the intersection of creativity, technology, and strategy. The purpose of this position is to develop, implement, and optimize digital marketing strategies that advance the mission and goals of the association. This role is responsible for managing and enhancing the organization’s email marketing, marketing automation, website, and search engine optimization (SEO) efforts to increase member engagement, drive program participation, and strengthen the association’s online presence. By leveraging data-driven insights and best practices, this position ensures that all digital channels deliver a consistent, compelling, and user-focused experience that supports the organization’s growth and retention of members and customers.

What You’ll Do

· Own the Website Experience (
Manage and enhance siam.org, ensuring content is fresh, accessible, and optimized for search. Bring innovative ideas for design, integrations, and user experience. Create and implement effective search engine optimization strategies across all relevant SIAM web properties to ensure products, content, and resources are discoverable and generate new leads.

· Lead Email Marketing & Automation:
Design and deliver dynamic, personalized email campaigns. Build automation flows that reach the right audience at the right time and keep our communications visually appealing and on-brand. Manage email schedule, requests, content, approvals, and manage ad hoc email lists .

· Analyze & Optimize:
Use analytics to measure performance, uncover insights, and continuously improve engagement across all digital channels.

· Create Visual Impact:
Develop graphics and templates for our emails and webpages that are visually appealing, while maintaining accessibility and best practices.

· Collaborate & Train:
Document processes, train colleagues on tools, and champion digital best practices across the organization.

· Other Tasks & Responsibilities as Assigned
Including but not limited to writing and editing for the website, emails, and other materials and some administrative duties.

What You Bring

· Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, CMS platforms (experience with Umbraco is a plus), marketing automation, and analytics tools

· Basic HTML skills

· Experience with graphic design software and brand compliance and a keen eye for design

· Ability to set and meet deadlines while juggling multiple projects in a fast-paced environment

· Meticulous attention to detail

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills

· Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years of proven success in digital marketing

· Strong knowledge of MS Office Suite

Performance Expectation

In the performance of their respective tasks and duties, all employees are expected to fulfill the following:

· Have a general understanding of applied math and computational science (or enthusiasm to learn); be an advocate for SIAM and its mission.

· Perform quality work within deadlines with or without direct supervision.

· Interact professionally with colleagues, constituents, and vendors.

· Work independently while being able to effectively communicate and coordinate with other colleagues and organizations.

The pay range is 59K to 73K.
