Your Role

Reporting to the Operations Lead of SS&P, as a Buy Desk Analyst, you will serve as the primary operational resource for low risk purchasing activities within a defined dollar threshold across the foundation. Your work as an individual contributor will directly support regional offices and many foundation departments by streamlining procurement execution.

You will process and coordinate low risk purchasing requests, collaborate with procurement analysts, sourcing and contracting teams, ensure policy compliance, and provide exceptional service to internal partners. This role is key to increasing procurement efficiency, supporting systems adoption and enabling scaling of operations support.

What You’ll Do

  • Review, and execute low-risk, low dollar procurement requests across multiple business units and regions.
  • Support the SS&P intake process and procurement ticket management, partnering closely with the procurement operations team, contracting analysts and sourcing category leads.
  • Ensure requests align with defined low-risk criteria and foundation guidelines.
  • Manage purchase requisition creation and processing in Coupa and act as a liaison with internal requestors to ensure completeness and accuracy.
  • Maintain procurement documentation, system updates, and catalog entries to ensure consistent operational support.
  • Collaborate with internal and regional teams to provide procurement support, guidance, and training on buy desk processes.
  • Monitor and report on volume, SLAs, and compliance metrics related to low-risk triage.
  • Contribute to the development of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and training content for the buy desk model.
  • Partner with Procurement Operations leadership to continuously improve intake workflows and scale capabilities for global operations.

    Your Experience

    • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in supply chain management, business operations, procurement, or related field.
    • 5+ years of experience in procurement, purchasing, shared services, or business operations roles.
    • Experience evaluating and testing AI-based solutions, including auto-classification of requests and intelligent routing systems, contributing to a more agile Buy Desk model.
    • Experience with e-procurement systems (Coupa preferred).
    • Demonstrated ability to manage transactional workflows efficiently while maintaining quality and compliance.
    • Excellent communication, partner engagement, and customer service skills.
    • Detail-oriented, highly organized, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
    • Proven track record of supporting operational excellence and continuous process improvement.
    • Familiarity with supplier diversity and sustainability concepts is a plus.
    • Comfortable working in a hybrid team structure with regional and global partners.
