Job Description

Chipton-Ross is seeking an Inspector for a contract opportunity in Manassas, VA.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):

  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
  • 1 - 2 years hands on experience inspecting and/or 3-5 years hands on experience building/Assembling products (Mechanical and Electrical).
  • Ability to receive and hold a secret level security clearance (Not required to start).
  • Experience with Solumina and Microsoft Office.
SKILLS MATRIX:

  • Ability to Read Engineering Drawings- 2 - 4 Years

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

These positions are for early career inspectors who will be responsible for reading and interpreting Engineering Drawings/Blueprints, complex wiring diagrams, and sketches to verify manufactured hardware is compliant with the requirements for hardware. Inspect hardware to the specifications and make decisions as to the acceptance of hardware according to criteria. Responsible for properly filling out nonconformance reports (defects) inspection tags, and other inspection documents as required. Physical requirements of this position will require standing, sitting, walking, light lifting, and bending to perform the job. Interfaces with the on site customer representatives (Navy On-Site team and/or DCMA) through product sell-off/acceptance. Member of the Product Quality Team to help enforce compliance to process and procedures throughout production build to ensure conforming product is delivered to the customer.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

  • Good communication skills.
  • IPC-610 and 620 or J-STD-001 certified.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience presenting product to customer for inspection.
  • Build experience in the production environment, working closely with Manufacturing and Quality teams.

REQUIRED EDUCATION:

  • Accredited High School Diploma or GED.

WORK HOURS:

  • Full-Time-4/10-1st Shift
  • Monday- Thursday 07:00am-05:00pm

ADDITIONAL:

  • Candiadte must have the ability to obtain a secret clearance.
